Getting the Right Help

Choose the option that best describes your situation.

🚨Emergency

Call 999 immediately if you have:

  • Chest pain
  • Severe difficulty breathing
  • Sudden weakness on one side
  • Heavy bleeding
  • Serious injury or suspected broken bones
  • Loss of consciousness

Contact NHS Wales 111 if you have:

  • Suicidal thoughts or thoughts of harming yourself or others
  • Injuries that may require A&E attendance

 

Urgent Same-Day Problems

If your problem cannot wait until the next routine appointment:

  •  Call reception between 8am-9am - 029 2075 7025 

You request will be assessed and directed to the most appropriate clinician or service. You may not see your usual GP.

Routine Appointments

For medical problems that are not urgent, including nurse appointments and blood tests:

  • Our 24/7 Phone System 
    Our automated phone booking system is open 24/7: 029 2003 8962
    • Book certain appointments (including routine GP and nurse appointments)
    • Request a new or extended sick note
    • Check or cancel appointments

    For other routine problems, call reception after 10am: 029 2075 7025

Sick Notes

(Also known as fit notes, medical certificates, or MED3s)

If you have been ill for 7 days or less:

  • You do not need a sick note if you have been ill for 7 days or less. This is called 'self-certification'. 

If you have been ill for more than 7 days: 

  • Contact us to request a new sick note, or an extension to an existing sick note.

Home Visits

Home visits are reserved for patients who are housebound and medically unable to attend the surgery. 

If you believe you need a home visit, please call reception between 8am-10am: 029 2075 7025

A clinician will assess your request and decide the most appropriate care. 

Test Results

For blood test results, wait a week, then ring reception after 2pm - 029 2075 7025

Cancelling Appointments

If you can no longer attend your appointment, please cancel as soon as possible so we can offer the slot to another patient.
