TRAVEL ADVICE

Our practice nurses are available by appointment to offer medical advice regarding travel and vaccinations where appropriate. Please telephone reception to book an appointment. 

Please book a practice nurse appointment for travel vaccines and malaria tablets.

This applies mainly to people planning a trip outside of Western Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The nurses can organise malaria tablets and can normally give all the injections that may be needed.

Yellow fever - This vaccine is rarely required, but we do not provide it at the surgery. If you need yellow fever vaccine, we can tell you where the local vaccination centres are. Alternatively, you can look up the information at the National Travel Health Network's web site.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 to 8 weeks before you travel however please consult us earlier if your trip is complicated or exotic.

Travel Vaccination Prices

Travel advice is covered by the NHS; however some vaccinations and prescriptions are only available privately. Payment for non-NHS services must be made at the first travel appointment.
