Introducing Online Booking for Flu & COVID Jabs
We are introducing an online booking system for COVID and FLU vaccinations.
To book your appointment online, use the NHS Wales App or My Health Online.

Which vaccine?
Only certain groups are eligible for COVID and flu vaccines. The vaccines we provide at Llanishen Court Surgery are listed below.
COVID vaccine:
- Patients aged 80 or older.
People aged under 80 who are eligible for the COVID vaccine will be contacted by the Cardiff & Vale Mass Vaccination Centre.
FLU vaccine:
- Patients aged 65 or older.
- Patients under 65 in a clinical risk group*
- Children aged 2-3
Children will be given the flu vaccine in the form of a nasal spray.
Which clinic?
We have different clinics for different age groups. Please ensure your appointment is booked in your own name and in the appropriate clinic.
Our clinics:
- Patients aged 80 and over (COVID and FLU vaccines)
- Patients aged 65 to 79 (FLU vaccine)
- Patients under 65 in a clinical risk group (FLU vaccine)
- Children aged 2-3 (Nasal FLU vaccine)

Clinical Risk Groups (under 65)
If you are under 65 and have a long-term health condition that puts you at increased risk from flu, you might be eligible for the flu vaccine:
- Chronic heart disease
- Chronic respiratory disease (COPD or asthma)
- Chronic liver disease
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- History of stroke
- Parkinson’s disease or motor neurone disease
- Weak immune system due to disease or treatment
- Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or above
- Carers
Booking Appointments with the NHS Wales App
If you are in an eligible age group, you can now use the NHS Wales App to book your COVID and/or Flu vaccines.
To access NHS Wales App services, you must:
- be registered with a GP practice in Wales
- have a fully verified NHS login
- be aged 16 or over

How to set up an NHS login
You must access a health and care website or app before you can set up an NHS login. Many of them will show the NHS login button.
You will need to:
- Enter your email address.
- Create a password.
- Enter the security code we email to you.
For added security, you will need to set up Two-step verification by:
- Providing a mobile phone or landline number.
- Entering the 6 digit security code we send to this number.
To access some websites and apps, you may need to provide additional information and prove who you are. This is so we can connect you to your NHS record and protect your health information.
Booking Appointments with My Health Online
If you already have a My Health Online account and are in an eligible group, you can now book your COVID & FLU vaccine online.
